CME 2.1.A. Candidate A A.1. LASCO: CME 2009/01/31 05:50 UT, partial halo This refers to the smaller event occurring off of the right side of the solar disk as opposed to the larger CME going off of the left of the disk around the same timeframe. A.2. STEREO: STEREO observations support that the smaller event noted in LASCO moves in approximately an Earthward direction, and would be a possible candidate, while the larger event moves away from the Earth and should not be considered further. A.3. AIA & GOES: Nothing from this timeframe produces even an A-class flare. A.4. Comments: due to lack of other observable CMEs in anything resembling an earthward direction, this is the most likely source identified. 2.2 Decided Source The most likely solar source is Candidate A. 3.
